The Sunshine Foundation, Inc. is a provider of therapeutic residential services for women in Central Virginia. Through our program, The Sunshine House, we offer a safe, stable, and nurturing group home environment for women ages 18–65 in Chesterfield, Virginia.

We specialize in supporting women who have experienced trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioral challenges. At The Sunshine House, each child receives individualized, trauma-informed care rooted in the Sanctuary Model®—a nationally recognized framework that promotes healing, resilience, and personal growth.

With a capacity for three residents, our home creates a family-like atmosphere where every woman is known, supported, and encouraged. Our highly trained staff use compassionate, evidence-based approaches to guide women toward emotional stability, social development, and long-term well-being.
